How you will make an impact

As the Senior Manager, FP&A you will manage company-wide financial consolidation efforts and be the steward of the financial planning and reporting systems, and partner with multiple departments within the organization.  This critical position assists Halozyme’s growing Financial Planning and Analysis function and maintains a high level of interaction with senior and executive leadership.    

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Steward total company financial consolidation efforts including:
    • Drive monthly reporting, quarterly forecasting, and annual budget and long-range planning processes
    • Develop Executive and Board reporting packages
    • Nurture detailed knowledge of financial forecasts to provide input into the organization’s broader strategic risk-taking decisions
    • Ensure a high degree of quality, timeliness and accuracy
  • Own end-to-end administration of Financial Planning and Reporting Software (Adaptive Insights) including:
    • Ensure accuracy of data feeds from General Ledger and HRIS system to Adaptive
    • Lead budget and forecast version control
    • Maintain account, project, and organizational structure in coordination with Accounting
    • Communicate system updates and training to end users
    • Champion system integration and lead improvement initiatives
  • Lead the business partnership and financial planning, analysis, modeling, and reporting activities for assigned functions
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models for long range planning, scenario analysis and other ad-hoc needs
  • Supervise activities, mentor direct reports, and provide technical guidance to Procure-to-Pay team

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum of a Bachelors’ degree in Finance, Accounting or related field with at least eight years’ experience in an accounting or finance role (an equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered)
  • Minimum three years’ FP&A experience in similar role and two years’ experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
  • A deep understanding of Adaptive Planning architecture, processes, product, and standard methodologies
  • Solid proficiencies and adaptability demonstrating finance system capabilities
  • High proficiency in Excel (including the ability to perform pivot tables, VLOOKUP and high-level functions and formulas) and PowerPoint
  • Proven meticulous approach with outstanding troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
