Location: Carmel, Indiana (or San Diego, CA) Company Overview MBX Biosciences, Inc. is a preclinical-stage biotech company committed to creating therapies to treat rare endocrine diseases where there is inadequate treatment available. MBX’s leadership team has collaborated successfully over several decades to discover, develop, and commercialize first-in-class endocrine therapeutics. A distinguishing strength of MBX is world-class proprietary peptide drug discovery. MBX’s clinical program for its lead clinical candidate will commence in mid-2021. The company is building a pipeline of additional product candidates targeting rare endocrine disorders that are targeted to enter Phase 1 development by the end of 2021. Job Summary The Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller is responsible for management of the overall accounting activities within the organization; develops and maintains accounting principles, practices, and procedures, and manages the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner. The Accounting Manager will supervise and mentor the staff accountant; addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial statements, year-end audit preparation, and the support of budget and forecast activities.
