About the Role:

Our company is currently experiencing rapid growth and we are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):

esponsible for general accounting for two legal entities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, analyze results and reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure financial statements are complete, accurate and in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Primarily responsible over the following areas:

  • Cash
  • Prepaid Expenses
  • Short Term Deposits
  • Fixed Assets, including additions, disposals & depreciation
  • Accrued Receipts
  • Other accruals as needed

Additional responsibilities:

  • Support the SEC reporting effort, including interaction with the external and internal auditors to enable timely execution of their audit/review procedures.
  • Provide detailed analyses and explanations of all material transactions.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required, plus a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of accounting, financial and internal control principles for a public corporation is required
  • Current knowledge of GAAP. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated expertise utilizing financial systems, Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains a plus
  • Hard-working, detail-oriented nature able to work with minimal supervision
  • Able to assume responsibility, follow-through, meet commitments and use good judgment
  • Willingness to be part of a team & cooperate in accomplishing departmental goals and objectives
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to independently complete multiple time-sensitive tasks.
