POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will partner with the CCO and the commercial organization as it prepares for the global launch of PEGPH20. This position will develop & provide standardized and best-in-class financial analysis, reporting and insights, to support decision making and allocation of resources across our therapeutic areas and global markets. She/he will drive & facilitate processes including the annual budget, long-range-plans/quarterly forecasts, interim forecasts/scenarios, quarterly close, and periodic or ad hoc analyses. She/he will report to the Head of Corporate FP&A and a dotted line to the Chief Commercial Officer.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

These may include but are not limited to:

  • Act as the Finance Business Partner to the Chief Commercial Officer
  • Develop & nurture partnerships across the business including Corporate FP&A, Tax, Accounting, Investor Relations and Commercial leadership
  • Establish and scale finance processes to facilitate reporting, quarterly forecasting, quarter end, board materials, strategic/long-range-planning
  • Partner with Commercial to develop revenue budget/forecasts, including gross-to-net for future launch of oncology asset
  • Provide insightful analysis of complex data in a succinct fashion to non-finance business leaders
  • Drive informed decision making to scale the commercial organization worldwide
  • Deliver consolidations, analyses and outputs that synthesize, distill, and clearly communicate key trends and insights, variances to plan, future drivers, and opportunities and risks, leveraging and demonstrating a strong command of the business and its key performance drivers
  • Help develop specifications for financial systems and ensure financial compliance
  • Hire and develop top finance talent

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effectively lead cross functional teams as required
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field with at least 10 years’ experience in positions of increasing scope and responsibility, including as a senior finance leader and partner supporting a complex business (an equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered)
  • Fluent in managing complex Gross-to-Net procedures
  • Combined breadth and depth of strategic financial planning and analysis experience
  • Proven ability to manage complex finance processes such as budgets, forecasts, and strategic/long-range plan
  • Demonstrated thought leadership, influence and strategic/critical thinking skills
  • Expert knowledge of accounting and finance concepts and working knowledge of US GAAP is required
  • Excellent knowledge of Healthcare Systems, Business Intelligence, Planning and ERP systems is required, with a high proficiency in Microsoft tools
  • MBA or CPA is a plus
  • Prior experience in bio-pharma or healthcare industry, including commercial operations in the US and worldwide markets, is preferred
  • Successful experience in high-growth, multi-national organization, a plus

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

Equipment:   PC, scanners, facsimile machine, voice mail and e-mail systems, and common office machines, or ability to be trained.  Knowledge of other equipment required:

Software Knowledge:  Windows, MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), EDC, IXRS, ePRO, Argus

INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Interact internally with the commercial leadership team to drive execution of the commercial launch of PEGPH20, accounting teams to maintain an environment of compliance & controllership, and the FP&A team to facilitate forecasting and planning.

EFFORT REQUIRED/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

Physical Activities:  On a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means.
