New ABFO Open Job Posting - Head of Finance & Administratoin - Respsivant Sciences, Inc.

About Respivant

Respivant Sciences, Inc., a San Diego-based subsidiary of Roivant Sciences, is a global, clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company dedicated to significantly improving the lives of patients suffering from respiratory diseases.

Respivant is currently developing RVT-1601, a mast cell stabilizer with pleotropic immune modulating properties delivered directly to the lungs via a handheld aerosol device. Most patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), a terminal disease with 3-5 years average mortality, suffer from a chronic cough refractory to all known treatments that significantly contributes to poor quality of life.  In a Phase 2a clinical trial, RVT-1601 demonstrated a statistically significant and clinically meaningful reduction in cough frequency among IPF patients after 14 days of treatment. Additionally, preclinical study results predict RVT-1601’s anti-fibrosis activity will slow progression of the underlying IPF disease.  As a result, Respivant is currently initiating a large, global Phase 2b study for RVT-1601 in IPF patients to confirm the Phase 2 results as well as to identify the optimal dose for Phase 3 study(ies).  Beyond IPF, the Company plans to evaluate RVT-1601 in Phase 2 studies for other respiratory diseases concurrent with the IPF studies.

Respivant’s long-term strategy is to develop and commercialize a portfolio of drug candidates targeting respiratory diseases.  To that end, the Company is actively evaluating and plans to acquire additional drug candidates for respiratory diseases representing significant unmet medical needs.  The Company is led by an experienced leadership team with a successful track record of developing new inhaled therapies for respiratory diseases.  For more information:
