SUMMARY:

The Investor Relations Manager serves as a key contact for Apollo Endosurgery with investors and investment analysts. This position is responsible for understanding the Company's business plan and value proposition, helping to define key messages, and assisting in the consistent communication of these messages to the investment community. In addition, this position is responsible for preparing and maintaining the Company’s financial forecast. This position assists with analysis of business development projects as needed.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with executive management to develop and execute investor communications
    including overall strategy and tactics for implementation.
  • Prepare business content for annual report, annual shareholders meeting, and
    presentations for company management and investor audiences.
  • Develop and maintain a competitive intelligence process to analyze and distribute
    industry and competitor and key industry analysis to management.
  • Performs public relations, ensuring that a consistent corporate image is presented to
    analysts, institutional investors and individual shareholders.
  • Coordinates SEC filings and disclosures with SEC Reporting Manager to ensure timely
    submission and public notification/website postings.
  • Organize and effectively manage quarterly conference calls led by senior management
    to review financial results and to update stakeholders on key business activities; draft
    conference call script and related documents; assist executive management with
    presentation development and execution.
  • Manage participation in investor-focused events and conferences, including outreach to
    organizers, materials creation, briefing schedules, and related support, and plans and
    manages corporate visits.
  • Creates presentations, press releases, and other communication materials for earnings
    releases, industry events, and presentations to analysts, brokers, and investors.
  • Coordinates key investor events and analyst conferences, as well as pertinent follow-up.
    As well as, organizes conferences, road shows, earnings conference calls, and investor
    meetings.
  • Manages the investor relations portion of the company web site.
  • Serves as the key point of contact investors (institutional and retail) and analysts.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with stock exchange representatives, analysts,
    portfolio managers and industry contacts
  • Engage in investor targeting and analysis and utilizes stock surveillance systems on a
    daily basis.
  • Organize and summarize sell-side analyst reports and conducts statistical and trend
    analysis of company and peer group.
  • Monitor sell-side research reports for accuracy and depth of understanding of Company
    strategy, products, and financial picture; develop effective methods to improve the
    quality of sell-side research.
  • Respond to requests for information from the media and analyst community.
  • Travel as needed and directed by CFO
  • Support business development efforts including market research, business case
    development, due diligence and integration processes.
  • Maintain financial forecasts and multi-year financial projections to assist executive
    management with investor communications and business development analysis.
  • Other duties may be assigned

BASI SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • A minimum of 5+ years experience and at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong team player with a proactive personality to find and evaluate challenging issues.
  • Financial modeling, budgeting and forecasting experience.
  • Excellent analytical, written/oral communication and interpersonal skills, including
    advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Must be able to interpret problems & opportunities, diagnose them, and rationalize
    solutions or new methodologies utilizing your resources efficiently and effectively.
  • Must be a motivated, self-starter, who is able to work independently or with a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and interact
    effectively with the Senior Management Team, Board of Directors, Shareholders,
    analysts, auditors, etc.
  • Must love challenging opportunities to assist or co-design solutions to perplexing issues
    that can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance team.
