About the position: 

Enliven is seeking an Accounting Manager to manage the Company’s accounting operations. Key candidate qualities include:

  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties to meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and provide guidance to the accounting staff.
  • Manage the month-end close process in accordance with the monthly/quarterly close calendars.
  • Prepare and/or review complex month end accruals, including clinical trial, CMC, research, etc.
  • Prepare and/or review monthly account reconciliations.
  • Manage/review payroll runs
  • Review/approve journal entries prepared by staff.
  • Review/verify accounts payable transactions for consistency with the invoice, PO matching, appropriate expense period and accurate account coding.
  • Review/approve accounts payable payment runs.
  • Review/approve expense reports.
  • Monitor cash balances and initiate transfers as needed.
  • Manage equity administration in partnership with equity consultants.
  • Perform/coordinate financial planning and analysis activities.
  • Prepare/coordinate provision of PBC schedules and support for audits and quarterly reviews.
  • Coordinate the provision of auditor-requested SOX/audit testing selections.
  • Perform SEC filing tie-out activities.
  • Act as the Accounting ERP functional expert.
  • Ensure adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) policies and procedures.
  • Prepare all annual insurance renewal applications.
  • Support Finance Management Team, as needed
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or business administration
  • CPA/MBA or equivalent work experience
  • 6-8 years of general accounting experience
  • 2 years of life sciences experience
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles GAAP)
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)
  • NetSuite experience a plus
  • Prior experience with SOX compliance a plus
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and prioritize duties to meet deadlines with limited supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

The expected salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
