Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers.  The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. The Opportunity:  

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant position will be integral to accounting operations and will support the monthly and quarterly accounting close. Responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of timely and accurate journal entries (with appropriate supporting documentation) for the month-end close, quarter-end close and accounting transactions which includes but is not limited to stock-based compensation, lease, investments, and accrual entries.
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
  • Communicating and partnering with Research and Development teams to develop and maintain robust accrued expense models and fixed asset listing used for month-end close accounting.
  • Coordination and assistance with external audit.
  • Support evaluation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Assistance with SOX compliance.
  • Assistance with routine equity transactions using E*Trade.
  • Perform ad-hoc projects as assigned.
  • Participation in process improvements, financial system enhancements and special projects as needed.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business with two-three years of relevant experience in an accounting or auditing role, pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP, SOX and SEC reporting.
  • Big 4 public accounting firm and CPA license preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct and Coupa preferred.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to anticipate events, prioritize assignments, deal with interruptions, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work with interdepartmental teams.
  • Innovative, team-player with high energy for our small company environment.

Revolution Medicines currently requires that all personnel and visitors to its offices be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This role will require that the employee meet with company employees and work from the company’s offices on a hybrid schedule. Given that these essential functions of the role must be performed on-site, this position requires full COVID-19 vaccination, subject to applicable law.

The expected salary range for this role is $125,000 to $145,000. An individual’s position within the range may be influenced by multiple factors, including skills and experience in role, overall performance, individual impact and contributions, tenure, and market dynamics. Base salary is one part of the overall total rewards program at RevMed, which includes competitive cash compensation, robust equity awards, strong benefits, and significant learning and development opportunities.
