Summary Description

We are currently seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, and experienced individual for the position of Senior Cost Accountant. This individual will be an integral part of the Myovant Finance organization and will report to the Senior Manager, Cost Accounting. The Senior Cost Accountant will play an important role in the recording, reporting and analyzing of inventory and cost of goods at Myovant. They will actively participate in the monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes and provide analysis and audit support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in month-end close process, including inventory balance and activity tie-out adjustments and reconciliations.
  • Assist with SOX control preparation, design and monitoring.
  • Assist Sr. Manager of Cost Accounting with continued process, systems and reporting improvement in the cost accounting arena.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with business partners including manufacturing, quality, technical operations and accounting peers to facilitate the inventory and cost accounting process.
  • Run monthly CMO and SAP inventory reports.
  • Partner with the manufacturing organization to reconcile CMO inventory reports to SAP inventory balances and activity.
  • Prepare journal entries for reclasses, accruals or adjustments related to inventory and COGS.
  • Capitalize and apply overhead costs and record associated JE's.
  • Perform inventory and cost accounting monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare analysis of product cost fluctuations and inventory balances.
  • Work with internal and external auditors quarterly including fulfilment of PBC list requests.
  • Review monthly production schedules for activity and manufacturing developments.

REQUIREMENTS (Education and Experience)

  • Bachelor of Science/ Bachelor of Arts in Accounting or Finance.
  • 4+ years of recent cost accounting work experience.
  • Strong Excel skills are required.
  • Experience working in a top tier ERP system (SAP or Oracle).
  • Experience and working knowledge of SAP costing is a plus.
  • Must be able to collaborate and communicate effectively.
  • Experience in working for a public company.
  • Experience in working in a biotech/pharmaceutical environment is strongly preferred.
