Summary:
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst will report to the Exec. Director, FP&A and play an active role in supporting the quarterly forecasting process as well as day-to-day FP&A tasks. This is a highly visible role that works directly with employees at all levels of the Company as well as with external consultants and will be a key contributor to the FP&A departments success.
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in the year-end budget, quarterly forecast activities and long-range planning.
- Collaborate with cross functional departments to ensure accuracy and completeness of the budgets and forecasts. Review and analyze actual data from prior quarters to assist with updating future forecasts.
- Create user-friendly templates to collect budget/forecast data allowing for easy upload to the FP&A system (Planful).
- Work with external FP&A 3rd party consultant(s) to diagnose and resolve any issues with Project Code and Department alignment with NetSuite to ensure alignment between the 2 systems.
- Assist with enhancing and automating department Budget vs Actual dashboards and participate in quarterly BvA meetings with functional area leads.
- Review and approve purchase requisitions in Coupa to ensure consistency with contracts and budget.
- Support key teams in with contract and purchase requisition questions.
- Assist with special ad-hoc projects as needed.
- Assist with systems and process enhancements including optimizing the capabilities of Planful.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field and 2+ years of progressive experience in FP&A.
- Excellent Excel spreadsheet skills and proficiency with PowerPoint.
- Experience working in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry highly preferred.
- NetSuite accounting software experience and/or Planful experience preferred.
- Proven ability to work with and communicate effectively across all levels throughout the organization.
- Ability to work collaboratively with all departments and management levels within the company.
- Must be capable of operating in a fast-paced environment, able to handle pressure well, be self-motivated and detail-oriented.
- Ability to proactively identify and solve problems.
- Capability to work independently and simultaneously on multiple tasks.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and quantitative skills.
- Attention to detail and highly organized.
