Job Summary: This position, reporting to the VP, Strategic Finance, will be responsible for supporting the finance and accounting needs pertaining to the company’s various R&D collaborations and partnerships. Responsibilities will include serving as a contributing member of collaboration committees, providing support for accurate budgeting and forecasting of collaboration activities, supporting accounting and billing in accordance with the terms of our collaboration agreements, serving as the primary finance contact with our collaboration partners, coordination of reporting and other finance activities pursuant to the terms of our collaboration agreements, partnering with the internal accounting team to ensure appropriate GAAP recording and reporting of collaboration financial results, preparing and presenting internal financial reports to support management decision-making, ensuring appropriate systems and processes are in place to support collaboration business needs, spending review and analysis, monitoring of compliance with financial terms of collaboration agreements, and other duties as required. This will be an individual contributor role with opportunities for growth. Job Responsibilities:
Qualifications (including knowledge & skills): The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, driven and possess excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working in the biotechnology industry with a working knowledge of R&D collaborations and clinical development. The candidate should have a strong track record of working in a dynamic environment with competing priorities. This candidate should have prior experience in accounting and will have experience working in a business support role. Prior experience in budgeting is required. The ideal candidate will have the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of an organization. A minimum 6+ years of experience in a corporate finance/accounting support role is required. This candidate should pay close attention to details and will have excellent organizational skills. |
