As a Senior Accountant for the Finance team, you will report to the Director of Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting and work closely with other Finance team members. You will be assisting with or responsible for the preparation of the SEC filings, including financial statements and various MD&A and footnote schedules, stock plan administration, SOX internal controls, and various month-end close processes.

You will apply your existing accounting skills and knowledge, learn new skills, and play a key role in guiding the growth of the Finance department.
During your first year, your goals will include:

    • Assisting in timely and accurate filing of the Company’s external SEC financial reporting filings, including drafting of financial documents, preparing consolidated cash flow statements, footnotes and MD&A, and the related supporting documents.
    • Manage the stock compensation accounting function, including the processing of equity grants, administration of the ESPP Plan, and preparation of stock compensation expense reconciliations, journal entries, and equity footnote disclosures.
    • Assist with the SOX internal control function including ensuring risk assessment and control frameworks are in place and running effectively and efficiently, proper documentation and controls around policies and controls, and working closely internal and external auditor to provide requested support and answer questions.
    • Prepare monthly and quarterly accounts reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
    • Remain current with new technical accounting standards and assist in drafting technical accounting memos and implementation of new accounting standards.
    • Prepare and/or review financial documents and variance analysis, including monthly trends, budget vs. actual, and other fluctuation analysis.
    • Support the requirements of the annual audit and quarterly reviews through preparation of audit schedules and other support requested by the internal and external auditors.
    • Work cross functionally with legal, people team, research, manufacturing, and other various business owners as well as external consultants.
    • Provide support as needs arise for special projects, system improvements, or ad-hoc financial requests. 

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

    • BS or BA in Accounting or related field
    • CPA or equivalent highly preferred
    • 3+ years of relevant experience from public accounting and/or finance
    • Strong working knowledge of system processes, internal controls, US GAAP, PCAOB, and SEC regulations
    • Detailed and results-oriented and able to stay self-motivated
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
    • Knowledge/Experience with NetSuite, Equity Edge, and Active Disclosure a plus
