The Manager/Sr. Manager FP&A role will report into the Director-Finance and is focused on forecasting, budgeting, reporting, decision support, accounting close activities for the Corporation. Qualified candidates must have the ability to execute multiple work-streams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and remain open to new projects and/or responsibilities as the business maintains its key research functions but also evolves into a clinical stage company. Candidates must have strong attention to detail, ability to effectively business partner across functions, problem solving, and time management skills. Must be proactive and deadline-oriented.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the financial planning and budgeting process, including Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow processes
  • Ensure timely delivery and accuracy of monthly and quarterly financial reporting
  • Support the annual financial planning and budgeting process
  • Works with business partners/external vendors to update monthly accruals as part of the close process.
  • Updates projects cost model that generates Project accounting allocations.
  • Updates forecasts for two main collaboration revenue models
  • Supports effort to implement a budgeting tool in the next year
  • Tracks project and capital expenditure across departments
  • Perform financial modeling and ad-hoc scenario analysis
Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in biotech industry, within the FP&A or Finance function
  • Experience in supporting financials for early research and preclinical teams
  • Ability to partner with the accounting team
  • Experience with FP&A Planning systems would be strongly preferred
  • Experience with building financial models for clinical trials a strong plus
  • Early on experience within accounting teams before the transition to finance would be preferred
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Power point with experience in building and improving models
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • A "hand's on" business partner attitude and thrives in a demanding environment
  • Self-starter with the demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere and high-profile environment with minimal supervision
  • Analytical, resilient and flexible attitude with focus on solutions, practical implementation and goals
  • Good understanding of finance terminology, concepts and tools


  • Bachelor of Arts, Science or Business with a major in Finance, Economics, or Accounting
  • CPA, MBA preferred
