Listed below is a current opening for which we are seeking smart, driven, experienced, and just plain nice people to join us in realizing Audentes' mission.

The Role

The newly created Associate Director / Director, Finance position will play a key role on the Audentes Finance team.  The incumbent will be economic advisor to the Commercial and Clinical business units, own the corporate Long Range Plan (LRP), and create product P&L and valuation models. 

The ideal candidate has proven finance experience within the biotech industry, ideally with a strong understanding of US commercial product launch.  To be successful, the incumbent will be a strong collaborator and communicator, possessing outstanding analytical skills and an attitude that fits our #GSD (Get Stuff Done) culture.   The position will be based at our San Francisco headquarters.

The job level will be determined based upon the incumbent’s experience and expertise.

Responsibilities

Economic Advisor

  • Strategic and operational finance advisor to the Commercial and Clinical business teams.
  • Partner with the Commercial business in Product Launch Readiness.  Establish necessary financial processes and facilitate decisions, such as:  Revenue recognition, Gross To Net, pricing, sales reserves, distribution, etc. 
  • Partner with the Clinical team to improve financial processes, improve performance and facilitate efficient operations
  • Responsible for financial deliverables for your respective business areas: accrual prep, budgets, forecasts, reporting, LRP, etc.
  • Collaborate effectively across functions and programs to understand key business drivers, and how such drivers affect performance.  Develop effective metrics to manage performance
  • Build analytical frameworks and forward-looking models to enable quality decision-making
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and duties as required, such as partnering assessments and board presentations

Long Range Plan:

  • Own and manage the Audentes long range financial plan (LRP)
  • Partner with other finance personnel and support functions (Accounting, Procurement, HR, IT) to ensure overall delivery that effectively drives business success
  • Promote a mindset of simplification, standardization and continuous improvement
  • Meet necessary corporate finance deliverables and timelines

Required Qualifications

  • BS in Finance, Business or related discipline with 7+ years’ Financial Planning and Analysis, corporate finance, investment banking or consulting experience
  • Robust understanding of financial statements, valuation methodologies and P&L management
  • Proven experience as a strategic business partner across functions in the biotech industry
  • Strong collaboration, communication and listening skills
  • Highly developed Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Proven ability to establish priorities, work independently, and execute objectives without supervision
  • Demonstrated success initiating and leading cross-functional projects to successful completion
  • Excellent and effective written, verbal communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, CFA or similar
  • Experience with Product Launch in the biotech space
  • People leadership capabilities for future career growth
  • Experience in a high growth environment.  Able to quickly traverse between strategic and detail-oriented operational topics.  Ability to prioritize, make rapid decisions and adjust to changing needs and timelines
