We are seeking a highly motivated contractor to support our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function. This individual will interface with the finance department to help develop the functional budget and financial models.

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Support the financial planning, analysis, modeling, and reporting activities.
  • Develop robust excel based financial models for long range planning, scenario analysis and other ad-hoc needs.
  • Provide strategic oversight on accounting operations and financial systems highlighting any potential areas of risk.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business and finance practices and processes; make appropriate recommendations and work with finance to implement accordingly.
  • Work with finance department to ensure accuracy, transparency and efficiency of financial close related responsibilities in coordination with accounting and business partners.
  • Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes.


  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • CPA license required
  • 5+ years of FP&A experience in a similar role, with at least 3 years in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Solid proficiency in finance system capabilities, and working knowledge of Generally Accepted
  • Accounting Principles (US GAAP)
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills; ability to interface and communicate effectively with executive management and other functions within the organization
  • Strong team leadership, management, and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail with ability to move easily between hands-on work and strategic thinking
  • Ability to use critical thinking and good business sense to make good business decisions
  • Proven experience on building team and resolving conflicts in a collaborative manner
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, small company environment and ability to adjust workload based on changing priorities
