Martyn has been RefleXion Medical CFO since 2018 and has over 30 years of finance, accounting and leadership experience split between six Silicon Valley life-science startups and various roles at PwC. His financial experience spans work in over 30 countries and he has been on the capital-raising teams at each of his start-ups raising almost $1.3 billion in total. He has commercialized products at five start-ups and has built or restructured five finance and accounting teams from the ground-up.

Prior to RefleXion, he was the CFO of Vital Connect, and before that he served as the CAO at Intermune prior to its acquisition by Roche. At PwC he worked in a wide range of departments including the outsourced CFO group, general audit, business receivership and in an internal role managing a practice. He received a Bachelor of Arts in History from Nottingham University, his ACA Qualification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England, an MBA from Santa Clara University and he is an active CPA in California.
