Julie Johnson

Julie Johnson is a wife, a mother of 4 young children, and a Marketing Director with 20 years of marketing and strategy experience at the world’s largest consumer packaged goods company. In 2019, Julie was diagnosed with a rare cancer, undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma. Facing a grim prognosis, Julie began to explore innovative ways to manage and treat her disease. The same skillset that she used to grow her professional career – networking, strategic thinking and mental agility – became the foundation for navigating her cancer experience.

Over the past 3 years, Julie has networked with cancer patients, long-term survivors, grassroots organizations, and physicians who embrace innovative and personalized ways to think about cancer care. Currently, Julie is participating in a personalized neoantigen cancer vaccine clinical trial at University of California San Diego, under the leadership of Dr Ezra Cohen. Julie is passionate about cancer education, sharing the patient perspective, and using her skillset and experience to help other patients find the resources they need to take ownership of their care.
