Phil Howard

Phil is a partner in Ernst & Young’s Redwood Shores office with significant experience serving large and small clients in the life sciences industry.   Phil specializes in all areas relevant to an early stage public company including significant experience in revenue recognition, business combinations, equity based compensation and the audit of a growing Company’s internal controls.  Phil began his career in Phoenix, AZ and moved to the Bay Area in 2013.  He also spent two years as the Assurance Resident in Ernst & Young’s Global Life Science Center in Boston where he consulted with clients and engagement teams on auditing and reporting issues in addition to developing thought leadership for Ernst & Young’s Global Life Sciences practice.

Phil is an alumnus of Arizona State University where he played football and graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and a master’s degree in Accountancy and Information Systems. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of California and Arizona and a member of the American Society of Certified Public Accountants.
